Bioretention
Bioretention, a sustainable stormwater management practice, uses engineered soil, vegetation, and drainage systems to capture, treat, and infiltrate stormwater runoff. These areas, known as rain gardens, filter pollutants, reducing runoff volume and improving water quality before reaching water bodies.
