WHAT
WE DO
SERVICES
At GreenLift, LLC, we drive environmental and social transformation by integrating sustainable practices with second chance employment opportunities.
Our work focuses on restoring the Chesapeake Bay through tree planting, bioretention, and invasive species removal. By employing returning citizens, we not only rehabilitate natural environments but also provide meaningful jobs, fostering personal growth and community well-being creating a lasting positive impact on both our ecosystems and society
Bioretention
Bioretention is a sustainable stormwater management practice that involves the use of engineered soil, vegetation, and drainage systems to capture, treat, and infiltrate stormwater runoff. Bioretention areas, often called rain gardens, help to reduce the quantity of stormwater runoff and improve its quality by filtering out pollutants before they reach water bodies.
Tree Planting
Tree planting involves the process of introducing new trees into an area for various purposes, including environmental conservation, beautification, shade provision, and ecosystem restoration. Trees play a crucial role in mitigating climate change, improving air quality, providing habitat for wildlife, and enhancing the overall health and well-being of communities.
Removing Invasives
Removing invasives refers to the practice of eradicating or controlling invasive plant species from natural ecosystems or managed landscapes. Invasive species are non-native plants that outcompete native vegetation, disrupt ecosystems, and cause harm to biodiversity. Removing invasives helps to restore ecological balance, protect native plant communities, and promote the health of natural habitats.
